For several years, The National Community of Practice on Transition has been focused on the mismatch between policy and practice around the integrated employment and training for youth with intellectual disabilities. Much of the discussion has been framed around the question, "Does Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) apply to transition planning and work preparation"? Working across agencies, states and roles, the CoP members have created a ready-to-use resource to encourage local conversation about this issue.
