Legislation

No one piece of legislation defines government services to youth with disabilities. Instead there are a number of Acts that impact youth with disabilities.  Collaboration is an important element in all:
•    The Rehabilitation Act
•    The Americans with Disabilities Act
•    The Olmstead Decision (ADA Title II)
•    The Higher Education Opportunity Act
•    Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
•    Workforce Investment Act of 1998
